The winning drawing receives the first prize, which is its printing in the form of a poster bearing the names of the Group members and their teacher, in English and in Greek. The poster is sent to HELMEPA Members, the Greek Shipping Community, Greek authorities and International Organizations. The members of the Groups awarded with the 2nd and 3rd prize receive Commemorative Diplomas for their participation.

This year, the contest is common for the children members of HELMEPA JUNIOR and the children from the sister organizations in Cyprus - CYMEPA and Turkey - TURMEPA who are part of the International Marine Environment Protection Association - INTERMEPA.

For 2009, the theme of the Joint Drawing Contest of INTERMEPA's Junior sectors is:

"Let's change habits . . . not the climate!"

Participating Groups must send their drawings to HELMEPA JUNIOR by 15 April 2009 on cardboard (dimensions 50cm x 70cm) and without the use of pale colors, which are difficult to reprint.
