The HELMEPA Junior program is based on an Action Plan, which sets the rules for its implementation for the benefit of children, the environment and local communities. The Action Plan is renewed every year based on experience gained, prevailing conditions and changes proposed by children, teachers and parents.

Due to the restricted number of participants every year in HELMEPA Junior, only those children and teachers truly wishing to become active for the protection of the environment should register, thus taking advantage of the opportunities that the program offers to enrich their environmental experience.

For HELMEPA Junior to be able to cover a part of the expenses of participating Groups, the participation limit has been set at 650 Groups consisting of 6,500 children.

Any child between the age of 5 and 13 from any part of Greece can become a member of HELMEPA Junior by participating in a Group of 10 children of the same age and the same school.
