Moreover, children have the opportunity to get acquainted with the world of shipping and receive useful information on this dynamic industrial sector in which the Greeks enjoy a leading position worldwide. In the field of shipping, high technology advancements are continuously applied whilst enhanced international relations promote global commerce and peaceful cooperation. Naturally, today's children will succeed one day the professionals of the shipping industry, either as Merchant Marine Officers onboard Greek-owned vessels or as technocrats in managing companies, shipbuilding, classification societies and elsewhere.

Finally, through cooperation with entities such as Lloyd's Register Foundation (the Foundation), new elements are incorporated in HELMEPA Junior introducing the children to science, technology and tranportation.
